Pepper-leaf Senna

A flush of blooming Pepper-leaf Senna (Senna barclayana) in late February on a bank that had been bare a month earlier. These are self-sown descendants of about 20 plants bought 20 years ago. Pepper-leaf Senna, host to the white migrant butterfly Catopsilia pyranthe, is common in pastures at Manilla.
